John, the owner of Locherlour Mill, is a keen runner (and a former Irish international at cross-country and track) and is happy to show you all the great running routes in Crieff and the surrounding hills.
Check out the local running club website for details for running routes: Strathearn Harriers. The club meets twice a week for training runs in Crieff and Comrie, visitors are always welcome. It's a great way to get off the beaten track and explore the local area.
A great day's walk is up Ben Chonzie (931m), the local munro. The ascent is an easy walk beside the beautiful Loch Turret followed by a short, steep scramble to the summit of Ben Chonzie. You can enjoy the beautiful walk down the other side to Comrie, stopping off for some refreshments in the Royal Hotel, and hopping on the bus back to Crieff.
